The Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida's mission is "to use the history and lessons of the Holocaust in order to build a more just and caring community free of anti-Semitism and all forms of racism and bigotry." The permanent exhibit of the Holocaust Memorial Center Museum presents an overview history of the Holocaust and serves as a memorial to the victims through photographs, text, artifacts, artworks and short film presentations. The Holocaust Memorial Center Library contains a collection of more than 5,000 volumes and 500 videotapes. In addition, the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida hosts commemorative programs and films.
Center hours are 9 AM - 4 PM Monday through Thursday, 9 AM - 1 PM Friday and 1 PM - 4 PM Sunday. Admission and parking are both free. For more information about The Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida, visit www.holocaustedu.org.
